Why do dog boots keep falling off?
Because most come in 10 sizes or fewer, and dogs come in over 200 breeds. The biggest paw we've measured is 4× the smallest. No size chart covers that, so most dogs wear a boot made for another dog's paw.

Two sizes, one dog
On a standard size chart, nearly half of dogs would need a different size for their front and back paws.

Step 2 · Measure
Length. Width. Height.
PawScan finds each pad, even through fur, then builds the paw in 3D. From that model it takes three numbers for every paw, front and back.
- LengthHeel to longest toe. Sets where the boot bends, so the flex point meets the paw's own.
- WidthAcross the widest part of the pad. Front paws run broader than back ones, so the two pairs are made differently.
- HeightUp through the ankle. Decides how high the shell sits and where the strap closes.
How it's made · Additive manufacturing
From one scan to four boots.
Additive manufacturing builds an object up, layer by layer, from a digital model. There's nothing to cut away and no mold to fill. So every boot can be made to one dog's measurements.

Your dog's scan becomes a 3D model of each paw. We design each boot around it, then add comfort room.

2Built layer by layer
Each boot, strap and all, is built up in thin layers of CanelaFlex, a soft, flexible thermoplastic. One piece. One material. One paw. A set takes a few days to build.

3Made on demand
Nothing is made until you scan, and nothing sits in stock. The name is formed into the strap, and each pair is checked against your dog's measurements before it ships.
No molds and no tooling, so a Great Dane's pair costs the same as a Yorkie's. And because nothing is made until you scan, we can remake a pair that's off.

Fit guarantee
If the fit is off, we remake it.
Every pair measured with PawScan is covered. If the fit is off, send us a photo of the boots on your dog within 7 days of delivery, and we'll remake them free. There's nothing to send back — keep the first pair.
The finger test
Fasten the strap and slide a finger down inside the top. Snug is right. If your finger goes in easily, the boot is loose. Tell us and we'll remake it a size down.
The first week
Start with two or three short walks. The boots soften as they're worn.

- Order first. Your PawScan link arrives by email after checkout, and that's the scan we make your boots from.
- Is there an extra charge for larger feet? My Great Dane has huge feet
- No. Every size is the same price.
- If two dogs do I need to order separately?
- No. One order, two sets: one set per dog.
- Should I manual measure or use pawscan
- PawScan. Scanned orders are covered if the fit is off. Hand measurements aren't.
